The Migori County Civil Society Organization Forum (MICCSOF) is a registered National Non-Governmental Organization established on November 6, 2014, under certificate number OP218/05/14-0364/9713 by the NGO Coordination Board. The Forum serves as a platform for constructive engagement between the National Government, County Governments, Project/Program Partners, Development Partners, and Registered Civil Society Organizations in Migori County. Membership in the Forum is open to the Founders, Civil Societies in Migori County, and Thematic Area Experts upon payment of a non-refundable membership fee of Ksh. 1,000.00. Members have autonomy in CBO-specific funding, resource mobilization, project/program planning, implementation, and monitoring. The Forum also provides support in areas such as project supervision and capacity enhancement, in line with the Public Benefits Act 2013. As of November 30, 2023, the Forum has 109 members representing all 8 Sub-Counties of Migori County. The Forum has achieved significant representation in various committees and boards within Migori County, contributing to the legislative agenda through initiatives such as the Migori County Climate Change Act 2023, Migori County Youth Policy, and other important bills and policies.
